Unwanted Hutch No More!

I've had this hutch for about 10+ years.  It started in the kitchen in Evanston, moved from room to room to basement in Green River.  Now here in Colorado the movers decided on their own to put it upstairs in a spare room so for the past year I glared at it, and told myself it was going back to the basement!!  Then Marley painted here dinning set, I loved the color and thought I REALLY need something in my house to be that color, so I did away with the hutch top (off to the basement), primed it with brown and sprayed painted it with Lagoon!!!

Roughed it up with a sandpaper block after the Lagoon had it fully covered!!!

Found these cutest knobs ever!!

The birdhouse was a gift!!  Look at the Knob, crazy cute!!

Gallery Wall

First I traced everything onto wrapping paper and labled it so I knew what picture it is.  Then I cut out each shape and taped them to the wall where I thought they best fit..
This is what I came up with.  I kinda love it!!

Of course I had to add some embelishments!!!
And I had to paint any frame that wasn't off white...

I went to Hobby Lobby without measuring this frame :(
I got lucky though because it fit perfect, no hardware holds it in, it just sits right in there.  Next I sprayed adhesive onto the canvas and placed the linen I cut onto it and smoothed it out.  Then I sprayed the back of the Family Picture and placed it on top!

I really like how it turned out!!!

What January was the last postings???Crazy how time flys. Still I have no pictures of Marley's place to post :( So yet again I will fill this post with some of mine ;)

I love Pintrest!  That's where I got the saying on my old window chalkboard!!  We replaced the lights in the kitchen!!  <3 them!!

This old birdhouse T-Roy bought me about 15 yrs ago, it has went from having moss glued to the top, back to plain and now to what you see below with the old door thingy!!

I love having a centerpiece in the center of the island.  When the candles are lite it looks so cool.
Birdhouse shovel the kids got me for Mother's Day!!! <3 <3 <3
Old sign I had for years that no longer stated a purpose, repurposed ;0)
Old ladder I painted green for a little table.
Our gazebo, love the shade and privicy it provides in our East facing back yard.  Looks awesome on our Stamped Patio!!
A few bushes in the background T-Roy planted this weekend.
An old cabinet door I turned into a tray.  Idea off of Pinterest of course!!  Love the knobs I found at Hobby Lobby!!
Well I will take more pictures in the next few days of decorating/projects I have done upstairs in the bathrooms and bedrooms.  I think I have finally collected enough to get working on my "Gallery Wall" going up the stairs so I will be working on that shortly.  Would love to have the walls painted and some pictures printed before I work on it.

Laundry Room

Ok so if asked what I don't like about my new house it would be my Laundry Room.  It is small and the door gets in the way.  So I decided to decorate it due to I have to close the door if I am hanging things to dry because the rod hangs in the space behind the door, now at least I can enjoy my Americana Decorations :)

Troy helped Marley and I build these risers last November.  Marley's is black, which someday if she ever gets me pics to post you will get to see.  And by the way she has an awesome Laundry area!  Where we are both lucky is that they are located up-stairs where all of our bedrooms are!!!

Love this saying!

Nothing too exciting but thought I would post something before the month ends.
Fall is coming down and Christmas is going up....
Pics to come soon!  Hopefully some of Marley's too!!

Big Holes In The Wall 2....

YAY!!!  I got so lucky on Monday, I found 2 old stools, 1 was black the other was a strange peachy/tan color...no worries, I just painted them both red, I think they look so cute and help a ton, however I am still thinking I need to paint inside the holes.

Big Holes In The Walls...

When I first looked at the house I really was stressed about what I would do with these "Holes In the Wall".  For the most part I figured out the majority of them but I still have the 2 bottom side ones to do...and to top it off I have to decorate them with T-Roy's BIG Stereo Speakers.

See how big they are?  Ugh!!

Above is what is behind the vase and BIG speaker.... I was thinking about spray painting them red and hanging them on that back wall??????  But I think I am changing my mind!!!  I am thinking that I need to paint the back walls in the holes......I think a Flea Market shop is in store for today...maybe the vases need some height???  A pair of old chairs?  A pair of old stools?

Hand Carved Cross Finds A New Home

My talanted Dad Hand Carved this cross for me a few years ago and I painted it, of course off white.  It has always looked so pretty but a little lonely......

then I came across a blog with a picture of a cross in the middle of a frame.  It gave it so much more importance, I liked the idea.  When shopping the other day I found this shadowbox for jewelry...perfect!!!

See the pretty flowers he carved!  I love them!

One day, maybe, I will put an antique glaze on it so that the flowers will be more noticiable.

Bella wanted to say HI!!  ;0)

Master Bath

Look at this antique ceiling tile..love it.   Soon I will remember to pick up candles so these won't have to rock Balls anymore, but for now I totally think the color looks good.

Love the chippy paint!!!!!  And the rust!!!

The mirror is so long that I felt like it needed something to brake it up so I sat this cabinet in the center of the counter.

This little cabinet is a work in progress..so far I have painted the greenish color to an off white and spray painted the glass doors with a mirror finish!!!  It is the most amazing spray paint ever!  It will soon be a jewelry cabinet and I will be adding bunt feet to the bottom.

Marley and Brody have the majority of the Carroll family visiting so you are still stuck with me blogging about my stuff, but as soon as she isn't busy we will share some pics of projects we have done at her place!!!

Old Door turned Towel Rack

We have been having fun going to the flea markets, I found this old door and cleaned it up.  Troy put the rack on it and a glass door knob at the top and now here it is :)  So much better than a white wall with a builder's grade towel rack on it.  (not sure how much longer I can take all these white walls, feels like jail lol Pamela, I need you lol.)
